Mr. Malan was approved as a 91̽»¨ College Foundation Board Member on February 24, 2026. He was previously an employee of the 91̽»¨ Unified School District for 33 years, serving in the roles of Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Technology & Information Services, Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Services, and Superintendent.

Mr. Malan is active in state and county-wide educational leadership. He has served as the President of the BEST NET Executive Committee, an Inland Personnel Council Advisory Member, a 91̽»¨ Community Hospital Board Member, and a Mojave Valley United Way Board Member. He continues to be active in statewide educational leadership while also serving in local organizations such as the 91̽»¨ Optimist Club.

Mr. Malan holds a bachelor's degree from Western New Mexico University and his master's degree from California State University, San Bernardino.
